With immense pleasure we announce that this year the White Coat Ceremony will be held on Tuesday 4th of October 2022, at 3 pm, at the Aula Magna, University Central, Corso Strada Nuova 65.

The ceremony, firstly suggested by some international students of the Harvey Course back in 2017, has now reached its 4th edition after an interruption of two years, and has conferred an aura of international atmosphere to the University of Pavia medical course as well.

This ceremony is very frequently held, especially in US and UK universities for medical undergraduates.

The White Coat Ceremony consists in the delivery of the white coats to future student trainees from the third year onwards, and the coats are delivered by some of the lecturers of the Harvey Course.

At the end of the ceremony, lecturers and students alike recite together the Hippocrates’ Oath, the manifesto of  medical ethics for future doctors.
