The White Coat Ceremony first ever edition dated 2017 upon suggestion of the students themselves-over the years the tradition has continued until today.
The ceremony involves the delivering of the white coats for students from 3rd year about to begin their clinical rotations in local hospitals.
The Ceremony dates back to the 1990s, where it originated in the US at the prestigious Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, by the works of Dr Arthur P. Gold.
This is a ceremony to welcome medical students into the practical medical environment that will profoundly characterise their future in their medical career.
